For those of you that are counting, this is the third Sprite ReMix that has been released. (after Tropical and Berryclear). I wasn’t very impressed with Berryclear, and I’m not impressed with Aruba Jam either. It has a very light fruit flavor that is not very appealing and has a slightly funky aftertaste. The refreshing, fruity flavor you expect from a Sprite just isn’t there. There are plenty of better tasting soda pops out there – don’t waste your money on this one.

Beware: It is likely that the Burger King Chicken Fries that you order will look nothing like the picture to the left. If they are anything like my recent order, you’ll have to look deep down inside the container to find them. Besides being much smaller than depicted, the Chicken Fries are utterly unexciting and merely typical. My order was kind of soggy and limp – not nearly as crispy as I had hoped. The best part about Chick Fries is the container they come in, with the built-in sauce holder. It really works! I was able to stick the container in my car’s cup holder and dip my Chicken Fries in sauce as I headed north on Interstate 5. Too bad that we review food here at Phoood, not fast food containers.

Someone at work told me about these chicken sandwiches that are supposedly really healthy for you that McDonalds is pushing, so I went on in to find out what’s goin’ on with them. I immediately saw there were three types: classic, club and BLT (I had the club). The sandwich was really good, to my surprise, as I thought it was gonna be another rehash of the chicken McGrill (they offer the sandwich in crispy chicken or grilled, I had mine grilled.) The chicken wasn’t dry at all, the hickory-smoked bacon was thick, and the Swiss cheese, along with the lettuce and tomato (rabbit food), pulled the sandwich together by piling it on a whole-wheat bun. I highly suggest this line of sandwiches, as this might be the start of something good for the restaurant where Super Size Me was filmed....

I admit I bought a bag of the Cheetos Cheese Pizza Flavored Puffs with a little bit of a biased attitude, as I’m a huge Cheetos fanatic. I had tried Baked Cheetos, and those weren’t too bad, so I thought I’d give it a shot. Well, the original Cheetos flavor wasn’t really detectable. Cheese pizza was, though. The flavoring tasted almost exactly like the filling flavor of Cheese Pizza Combos. If I sat there and thought about Combos, the puffs weren’t too bad. So, as a new chip these are pretty good. As a new Cheetos brand chip, these missed the mark, in my opinion.

This is another lime-flavored product that may not be available in all areas of the country. Lay’s Limon Potato Chips are only for a true lime fanatic, if there is such a person. The chip itself is your traditional Lay’s variety – thin and crispy. What makes this chip unique is the strong lime flavor. It is so strong that the tartness actually makes my lips pucker. Now, I like lime as much as the next guy, but this is just too much for my taste. The lime flavor is overpowering and the chip has only one dimension to it. A little subtlety in the flavor would really make the chip more enjoyable. Unless you are one of the aforementioned lime fanatics, I wouldn’t bother trying these chips.
