I have a few trusty breakfast cereals that I always eat, but recently I got adventurous and bought a box of Golden Grahams. I don’t recall having ever eaten it, but it looked like a cereal that I would enjoy. I was not impressed by the taste of the cereal, having expected a stronger graham flavor and more sweetness. I also found that the cereal got soggy in the milk too quickly. Just to be confident in my conclusions, I also tried it my second favorite way of eating breakfast cereal – straight out of the box. Again, I didn’t like it all that much. Soggy, mediocre-tasting cereal makes a poor breakfast (or lunch, or dinner…), so I guess I’ll have to continue looking for a new cereal to add to my cupboard.

Posted by: me at December 24, 2008 12:06 PMFor the first time I can recall, I disagree with the rating. I like the honeyed taste of GG's just fine; yes, they get soggy in milk but you have to eat them quickly.

Posted by: jamiebeth at December 24, 2008 5:49 PMGolden Grahams were a lot tastier back before General Mills got all 'Whole Grain Goodness' on us. The same can be said for their Count Chocula line, Lucky Charms and other former childhood favorites. Boo!
Posted by: SZA at December 29, 2008 10:16 AMWhat I usually do with my cereals is pour just enough milk so that there's only a drip or two left after the cereal's gone. In typical cereals like Cheerios and Golden Grahams, this is essential.
Posted by: Frederick at January 10, 2009 7:41 AMGolden Grahams has always been one of my all-time favorite cereals. But you're right, the flavor is not as awesome as it was when I was a kid.
Posted by: Lyndse at January 19, 2009 5:16 PMOne of my favorite cereals....not too sweet, not too bland...dont put so much milk-just enough to moisten....
