The Habit Double Charburger with Cheese

doublechar.jpgThe Habit Burger Grill has been around since 1969, but I hadnít heard of the company until they began opening locations in Northern California a few years ago. The burger Iíve ordered each time I have eaten at the Habit is the Double Charburger with cheese. Itís hard not to compare the Double Charburger to the legendary Double-Double at In-N-Out Burger, as it looks and tastes very similar. Ever since I ate my first Double-Double, it has been my favorite fast-food burger. But, amazingly, I think the Double Charburger with cheese is even better than the Double-Double. The primary reason is because the Double Charburger has larger patties, so you get more delicious meat. The Double Charburger also has a great char-grilled flavor that the Double-Double lacks. I didnít think the Double-Double would ever be topped, but it has been. The Habit currently has locations in California, Arizona and Utah. If you are lucky enough to live close to one of their locations, I strongly recommend a visit.

Phoood rating: Outstanding!

I recently got to try one in one of their original Santa Barbara locations, and they're really, really good. I am also happy to see that they're moving into the Bay Area as well.

Glad to see the Habit review on PHOOOD.
This is a wonderful restaurant to dine at.
Thru time, i have tried all the sandwiches at The Habit. Any one with onion rings is pleasure.
Lunch in El Segundo is in the air everyday, the aroma draws everybody in. Enjoy that Char.

well, mrs. ghostmarine and i finally made it to a somewhat nearby habit location. she states the food overall is not as good as five guys. the habit fries lacked salt, not as plentiful portions as 5gbf. however the burger itself was delicious, and satisfying. the burger's taste and texture were fantastic...however, i was not as glowing with the habit. five guys, does burgers better. the burger patties at the habit weren't as juicy, or flavorful as they are at 5gbf. plus, the habit missed the little things like the dry rosted peanuts like one finds at 5gbf...i was expecting more, and was let down. not greatly let down, just mildly disappointed. so overall, a mixed review from us:
mrs. ghostmarine says the habit is worth a second trip.
ghostmarine says probably not my first choice for a return trip.
