Taco Bell Cheesy Double Beef Burrito

tbburrito.jpgTaco Bell has a new “value” menu with a couple of new items, one of which being the Cheesy Double Beef Burrito. It’s made with ground beef, rice, nacho cheese sauce, and red sauce. Nothing fancy here, just four fillings that really go well together. The workers at TB must still be learning how to make them because all three times I’ve bought one it has been a little different. The first one had a whole lot of nacho cheese sauce and the last one was extra big, with a huge portion of ground beef. Who cares if it isn’t very consistent - at only 89 cents, it’s a real bargain. I think Taco Bell has a winner here. Hopefully, it will stay on the menu for a long time because it has quickly become one of my favorite items.

I totally agree. One of the best new things they've had in awhile. Let's hope this one hangs around for awhile. I'm getting pretty tired of liking new things only to have them yanked off the menu a month later!

I wish it had something else instead of nacho cheese. Get grossed out by it. If I liked nacho cheese though, this would be a keeper in my book.

I used to get these all the time. I used to get them 3 at a time.

But no more.

Take note, that at least my taco bell (midwest texas) has hiked the price of these up to 1.29, and outrageous almost 150% jump over 89 cents.

I give them a 5 out of 5 for style, but they lost their place in my heart as a 'value'

I love the new value menu - great stuff. The Triple Layer Nachos, the Big Taste Taco, and this burrito are the trifecta. I hope they stick around in lieu of the old menu.

I like not having to ask for "no fiesta salsa" and worrying that they won't bother to accommodate.

These aren't too bad, though they taste a lot like Hamburger Helper on a tortilla to me.

At to the comment made about the price hike in TX, consider how other people have it. Where I'm located (Alaska), we've paid $1.19 from the get-go. Compared to how much other things cost here (close to $7 for a regular sized DQP meal at McDonalds), I think that even $1.29 is still a bit of a deal.

I haven't been to Taco Bell, since the last time I went they skimped big time on the filling for my chili cheese burritos and quesadilla (more tortilla than filling). I haven't tried this one yet, but I might give them another shot.

I haven't been to Taco Bell since my senior year of high school. Think I'll try it.

My local Kentaco Fried Bell sells them for $1.89, so things could be a lot worse for jdeuel. Most of the Bells I frequent stick to the 79-89-99 pricing for the new value menu, but there are a lot of places that don't.

2 of these bad boys and I am full.

$2 complete meal? WINNER.

Seems this menu item is not consitent location to location.

I don't know how TB makes any profit off of them cause they are really big for .89.

I really like the .79, .89, .99 menu. You can mix and match a good meal for under five bucks.

This burrito is awesome. It really is the only thing i buy from TB. I still remember when they had the chili cheese burritos, oh so freakin awesome. Way to go TB.

At my local taco bells here in San Antonio the Cheesy Double beef is no longer on the value menu and is priced at 1.59 now.

The Taco Bell Cheesy Double Beef Burrito... this was a surprise. I've seen the 7 layer burrito and I though what else can get in there? For this burrito... melted cheese, beef and rice. Good eatin'...

Pretty amazing. im hooked. All I had was 7 dollars and i needed ciggarrettes. So right there i had 3 left during my lunch hour. I serouisly was wondering what the heck i could get for 3 dollars. I hit taco bell thinking a simple soft taco. I saw this thing. I bought two. Came out to be 2.19. Retreated to my car and gulped it down. I was starving. They were so freakin delicous. TB has a winner. Its so simple.

On the way back to work I was serouisly full I really wanted to yell the fact that I was full from just 2$ to my coworkers. But I stopped short. So amazing. TB is my new spot!

Those were my favs. Id get 3-5 at a time (im a big guy) + my combo... they started at .89 a pop but then jumped to 1.29 then 1.39 and before i knew it they were gone! just like that!

even at 1.39 they were cheap fillers and still tasted good :(

now i just found out today that my local taco bell (grove city OH) no longer carries the beefy crunch (hot fritos) what the hell man!
