Cheez-It Reduced Fat White Cheddar

cheezitswc.jpgIíve enjoyed Cheez-It original reduced-fat crackers for years. No, they donít taste as good as the regular ones, but I got used to eating them and really like the fact that they have 40% less fat. That means I can eat 40% more of them, right? I often wondered by they only made one lower fat variety. Why not a reduced fat white cheddar cracker? Well, they must have read my mind because now on the supermarket shelves are Cheez-It Reduced Fat White Cheddar crackers. I should have been more careful for what I wished for, because they arenít as good as I hoped they would be. The cheese flavor is not very good. In fact, I wanted to spit out the first mouthful I ate. After my taste buds adjusted, I was able to continue eating them, but they didnít get that much better. OK, I ended up eating the whole box, but I only did it because loyal Phoood readers deserve to know the truth. I donít recommend that you eat a whole box.

Have you ever had the Cheez-it Cheddar Jack? (It's not reduced fat.) We bought some and it was AWFUL. I assumed it was a mix of Cheddar and Monteray Jack, but apparently it wasn't. It was some weird nasty ranch flavor. Usually I like ranch, but this was like ranch's inbred cousin. Ugh.

I didn't care for the reduced fat white cheddar either. However, the cheddar jack is awesome!!

I really enjoy reduced fat Cheeze-Its. i haven't tried the white cheddars yet, but I too have enjoyed the original reduced fats for years. I think they taste better than non reduced fat and our much crispier.

I enjoy the Reduced Fat Cheeze-Its more than the normal kind. I think they provide a crispier cracker along with the same cheezy explosion. This is one of many reduced fat items that I think our superior to their fatty counterparts.
