Combos Zesty Salsa Tortilla

combossalsa.jpgI think that Combos are one of the most underrated snack foods out there. While other snacks get all the praise and admiration, Combos don’t get the accolades they deserve. I’ve really enjoyed every variety I’ve ever eaten, and new Zesty Salsa Tortilla variety is another delicious addition to the Combos lineup. They are intended to taste like chips and salsa, and they succeed. The outer shell, made from stone ground corn, isn’t quite as tasty as a tortilla chip, but its pretty good nonetheless. What makes them so good is the salsa-flavored filling. It really does taste like salsa, which is amazing considering that tomatoes are not listed in the ingredients. The filling is fairly spicy, which I really liked. When you want the taste of chips and salsa but don’t want to risk dripping salsa on your clean shirt, these are the way to go.

Phoood rating: Outstanding!

Yum! I love Combos (especially the cheddar cheese pretzel ones which I hardly ever find), but wish they were a little less salty. The zesty salsa ones are now on my shopping list.

I enjoyed these combos, I have yet to try the cheeseburger ones, and the bacon egg and cheese ones are seriously creepy. They're not bad... just creepy, they are dead-on for a B.E.C. sandwich.

I agree- totally underrated snack food. They are my favorite road trip guilty pleasure. Pizza flavor is my favorite...
