Strawberry Milkshake Oreos

strawberryoreo.jpgEver since I was a young lad, I have loved Oreos. I've tried all the previous variations, Double Stuf, Mint, etc., and they have never measured up to the original. Today, while wandering through the grocery store in search of bread, I discovered Strawberry Milkshake Oreos- Limited Edition. Absolutely delicious! The first thing I noticed was that they smell wonderful when you open the package, The brown and pink color is a little unusual, but I really didn't mind when I bit into one. They have a nice crunch, with a little softer "chew" than a classic. The strawberry cream mixes perfectly with the chocolate cookie halves, neither flavor overpowering the other for a taste reminiscent of Neapolitan ice cream. (If you leave out the vanilla part like I do.) My only gripe is that they are a limited edition. I hope Nabisco decides to make them permanent.

Phoood rating: Outstanding!

I came across these at Wal-Mart a few weeks ago, and I have to say I was surprised at how much I liked them. I am not a huge fan of the original Oreo variety but these sounded interesting. As the review stated, the strawberry cream mixes well with the cookie. I am one of those weird people who likes strawberry-flavored items over the real fruit itself. The cream really does taste like a strawberry milkshake. As Ed mentioned, I hope these become a regular item.

Well i came across the oreo cakesters with the strawberry in the middle first. As i jumped for joy, my friend told me about the strawberry milkshake cookies she had in her house. This made me so happy; i already knew they were going to be good. When we got in the house, i headed straight for the oreos and i had no disappoinment. They were awesome; my friend, her neice, sister, and our other friend seemed to think so too! YUM! keep them around!

I thought they where all right the strawberry flavoring could have been way better, but then again I had gotten used to Japanese strawberry flavoring when they came out...
