G2 Fruit Punch

g2.jpgAs if there weren’t already enough types of Gatorade (Gatorade A.M.???) now we have G2. Officially, it was designed for athletes off the field and has a different formulation than regular Gatorade. However, I have a hunch that the larger market is couch potatoes and others who don’t exercise much but still think they need a sports drink for some reason. G2 has half the calories of regular Gatorade, so I’m not surprised at all that it tastes like watered-down Gatorade. The fruit punch flavor of the G2 that I tried wasn’t necessarily bad, just very faint. Here's a tip: Take some regular Gatorade and mix it with an equal amount of water. Voilà, you just saved fifty percent. Clark Howard would be proud.

The couch potatoes think they need a sports drink because they think (capitol think) its healthier than soda

and yeah, this stuff pretty much looked to me like diet gatorade, and since i already thing normal gatorade tastes like water, guess i won't like this either

I am trying to get off diet cokes. I am over a gallon a day in fountain drinks. I saw this G2 next to my diet coke in the fountain machine and tried it out. It was much better than the sweet gatorade that I tried a few months back. I love the new G2. Works for me.

i love G2. i think that it is much better than gatorade because of the lower calorie content. it really does have lower calories and it tastes fine. you can't expect something that is not Gatorade to taste the same as Gatorade.

i'm an athlete and if i have a choice between the two i would much rather have G2.

G2 is an awesome bevergae. I need it, as I have had kidney problems, and need to drink a lot of water. Water doesn't replace all the good stuff that gatoraide provides, and G2 in combination with water helps with my healthy drinking.

The fruit punch taste better than the standard Gatoraid, and I find myself buying this almost daily.

Just got this from the fountain at Exxon, it's a great value compared to the bottle which was 2.57 for 32 oz, the same fountain size was 77 cents. I'm assuming it is the same formulation, but who knows.
