The Carl’s Jr. Hawaiian Teriyaki Six Dollar Burger is quite possibly the best promotional burger that Carl Karcher Enterprises Inc. has produced. It is hard to know where to start in describing this culinary masterpiece. For starters the teriyaki sauce is amazing. I love to BBQ and I particularly love teriyaki sauce. I can honestly say that this sauce is easily one of the best I have ever tasted. If Carl’s Jr. bottled this stuff and sold it in supermarkets I bet they would turn a nice profit. The grilled Dole pineapple was perfectly charred, sweet and juicy and complemented the sauce beautifully. The use of a mildly sharp Swiss cheese on this burger helped balance the sweetness of the pineapple and sauce. As with the other Six Dollar burgers the patty was grilled and seasoned to perfection. Lettuce, tomato and onion give the burger a fresh, crisp finish.

I wish we had a Carl's Jr. over here in Texas!
Posted by: Dana at July 12, 2007 7:22 PMI love this burger to, Carls always has the best promo burgers, i miss the portabello mushroom burger, my favorite has to be the Guacomole burger by far, with the spicy santa fe sauce and bacon..so good.
Posted by: shawn at August 27, 2007 4:20 PMi LOVE the 6 dollar burgers. the best one has to be the guacamole bacon burger. someone has to go to red robin and try the 5 alarm burger, it is amazing.....
I was afraid of this burger at first, but on a whim, I tried it out. It was the first burger I've tired with pineapple in it, and it was probably the best burger I've ever had ! Bravo, Carl's Jr. I think they're pioneers in the fast food burger business.

Posted by: hungryfatmanguy at December 6, 2007 3:27 PMi hate when they don't cook the teriyaki well. the meat is not as cooked as it looks!
Posted by: meliss&arturo at March 4, 2008 10:56 AMlove the site. I found it on of all things Carl's JR cup, it uses a quote from Phood.com. For the price, I think the big burger is the best deal going. Also fried Zuchini helps you hit your veggie quota for the day!
Posted by: Crash at May 9, 2008 3:51 PMI did love this burger and wish they would bring it back. I used to order it "western style" (my own name of the style) which consisted fo hold the lettuce, tomatoes and onions and double up on the pineapple. (Like a western only substituting pineapple and teriyaki for oonion rings an BBQ)
Either way, I miss it.

Posted by: TRENT at May 26, 2010 12:02 PMAAAAAAHHH! this is my favorite burger at Carl's Jr. The pineapple and the burger goes really well together. It's like Bonnie & Clyde had a runaway in my mouth and into my stomach. An epic, tasteful journey.
I just wish there was another slice of pineapple, then it would be perfection. Also no onions. They really give you that breath, and the teriyaki sauce makes it worse. Overall, amazing burger!
