i feel the exact same way. of course, it's like 5 bucks, but Arby's really has the monopoly on the roast beef sandwich market.

No kidding. Why HASN'T anyone else tried to jump on the roast beef... wagon? Not that they should, but it's surprising. Arby's will forever reign supreme.

I THINK that when they started, Hardee's had roast beef.

Arby's is one of my few favorite fast food outlets, partly because you can get stuff besides burgers.

I'm not much of one for that much meat (as the largest sandwich) but their regular roast beef is Just Right, with a bit of their Horseradish sauce.. hmm gonna have to hit one over the weekend. Yum.

Arby's is my favorite hands down. I recently moved to Kansas and the closest Arby's is 25 minutes away and I'm going through Arby's withdraw.

Actually, Roy Rogers sold roast beef sandwiches also and were probably more prolific (at least in the Northeast US). Regardless, Arby's made a better sandwich.

Arby's is pretty excellent. I used to eat there all the time when I was a kid. I think it's safe to say that the size of the roast beef sandwiches has shrunk in order to keep up with inflation and still be able to offer 5 roast beefs for $5.

I actually dig their Market Fresh sandwiches quite a bit. In general Arby's a bit more pricey though which is an issue for us. I haven't tried the big Montana because of that.

One time on a late night run at Arby's the worker was handing us our food in a bag, about 8 roast beefs and 6 beef 'n cheddar, when he dropped the bag spilling out all the sandwiches on the ground. He then offered to remake all of them, but since they were wrapped we invoked the 5 second rule. I didn't feel like waiting another 15 minutes for them to make them up again.

i liked arby's until i found out it ain't real beef, it's that weird-ss "roast beef loaf".

Arby's used to be one of my favorites. Then they treated one of my kids horridly (illegally, actually) while an employee and I am not really comfortable returning.

The Big Montana....those sandwiches are killer. If you're looking for a break from burgers..this is the place to go! I personally like to dress em up with Arby Sauce and Horsey Sauce...man what a taste treat...gimme a sack of em and it's movie time!!!

Arby's is pretty good. Our local one is garbage, but all of the other ones in the area are great. Big Montana is definately worth it if you've got $5 to blow on a sandwich. If not, grab the Medium or Regular roast beef. Arby's Sauce is pretty good, but no Horsey Sauce.

The "5 for $5" deal isn't so anymore... it's the "5 for $5.95 Deal". Also, I believe they did change their sandwich size a few years back, when they introduced the 'Giant' and 'Big Montana' size. The original 'Regular' roast beef was somewhere between their current regular and medium.

Arby's is great. We used to have Rax here in Ohio, but they've gone out of business (I do believe). I always thought their roast beef was a slight bit better than Arby's, but since there's no where else to go now, I have started going to Arby's again (I've forgotten how good Rax was, so Arby's is excellent again).

Can someone please tell me what happened to the Arbyque? That's the only sandwich I really liked at Arby's and it doesn't seem they have it anymore. Putting Arby's sauce on a regular roast beef just isn't the same.

Just tried your Chicken Cordeon Blu. Lousy, chicken was dry, no flavor. I had the crispy and my wife had the grilled. Better stay in the beef business, you don't know chicken.

The last roast beef sandwich I got at arbys had ketchup on it. It was disgusting. The curly fries were the only redeeming postion of that meal.

My brother's favorite Arby's meal is the Big Montana. In fact, did you ever think about having an Arby's, built on the side of your house, and keep it open 24 hours a day, so at any time you can go get a Big Montana? That is something to think about.

I and my family love Arby's. I especially love the Big Montana. I can eat it plain or with regular sauce. It sure beats hamburgers for a change. Outstanding with potato cakes.

Arby's tastes great. Meat amount has been quietly decreased recently, prices have gone up and they no longer offer shredded lettuce - A deli sandwich is just not the same without shredded lettuce... Big Montana w/shredded lettuce, tomatoes, Arby and Horsey, side of potato cakes and you were in business! Hardly go anymore with the changes they have made, but sure do miss it!

I work at Arby's in Waukesha, Wisconsin, I am currently a Crew Trainer, and I will become a Shift Manager this summer. I have been there over 3 years now, and I love it there, the Arby's I work at has some of the best crew members and especially management you can have, I can't wait to join the management group.

Have you tried Arby's french dip yet?? That, I must say, is the best sandwich they make.

I love Arby's and it's a crying shame there isn't one in Mahattan. I went to an Arby's in the middle of PA - off I-80 I think. Everybody in the joint was young and happy. It was like being in an Arby's commercial.

Funny that someone called the Big Montana a "killer" as just one sandwich has nearly a whole day's worth of sodium and sat-fat. Add an order of fries and you're WAY over for the day on both. Sorry ... I like fastfood on occasion, myself, but how bad it is for you is worth thinking about, too.

Which is the better deal? By that I mean which has more meat? Arby's Big Montana or the 5 roast beef sandwiches for $5.95? If I disassemble the 5 and create 1 big sandwich, would that be the bigger/more economical deal?

I used to eat Arby's all the time when I lived in CA. But now I'm in St. Louis and they have a chain called Lion's Choice here and it is way better than Arby's. The meat is real beef, not the processed meat lump that Arby's uses. It just tastes better all around.

They need to sell chicken tenders again.

I agree on Arby's being great. My favorite fast food place. I didn't read all so I apologize if I repeat it. But, restaurant RAX tried to compete with Arby's back in the 90's. They had my favorite sandwich of all time called a BBC. Roast beef, bacon, and cheddar on a hoagie style bun. They must of went out of business. Overall, Arby's better, but that sandwich Rax made was amazing.

I live in a small town and I drive miles to get to an Arby's . Love the roast beef sandwich. I'd like to ask Arby's to please bring back the BIG MONTANA . It was the bumb!!! I love arbys but I have to settle for the big roast beef and cheese now since they no longer have the big Montana. What every red blooded human should be asking is why would arbys stop selling the big Montana. I feel it would be the same if McDonald's stopped selling the dbl qtr pounder or taco bell not selling the nacho bell grande. I guess its some poor leadership at the highest levels of managment.
