These new Cheese Nips Chips are very similar to Ritz Chips, but there really is no comparison. Ritz Chips, which were previously awarded an “Outstanding!” rating, have everything going right for them, while Cheese Nips Chips have almost nothing going their way. Their flavor is pretty bad, much worse then I expected from a “Nip” product. The texture and crunch were also less than desirable. They are worth eating only under rare circumstances, like maybe when there is nothing else in the cupboard. Otherwise, stick to other snacks or the far superior Ritz Chips.

I love the regular cheese nips, I have not had the new ones yet. I will purchase today and tell you how they are.

Posted by: Mychelle at September 22, 2005 5:47 AMI love Cheese Nips but I wonder why they are trying to make chips out of them.
Posted by: Paul at September 24, 2005 7:15 PMI HATE CHEESE!!...HA!
Posted by: The Phantom at September 27, 2005 2:14 PMI'll probably never try them, but I love the commercial with 'cheezy' exec sitting on the bag and the ensuing orange bomb!
Posted by: CleoAwardPotential at October 1, 2005 11:11 PMI found only these sorta curvy rectangular things in a bag-- but they were billed as cheese nips... Do they still make the normal ones in a box? ( to compete with the inferior Cheese-Its) I hope so!
Posted by: Disturbed at October 12, 2005 10:41 AMThe "new" Cheese Nips are a lousy attempt to make an otherwise good product into something with more appeal, but they don't do it! I preferred the "original" little square crackers in a BOX that (1) would stand up on a pantry shelf, (2) protected the contents from being broken or crushed, and (3) wasn't filled with a lot of broken pieces and crumbs. For years in the past I always chose Cheese Nips over Sunshine's Cheezits, mainly because of the Nips' better flavor, but those days are ended. From now on, when I want cheese flavored CRACKERS, and NOT pseudo-chips and crumbs, I'll select Sunshine Cheezits, thank you very much!
Posted by: C. B. Knox at October 20, 2005 12:48 PMA VERY poor substitute for the original cheese flavored crackers they called Cheese Nips. Those also came in a box that helped prevent breaking or crushing the contents. No more! From now on, I'll buy Sunshine's Cheezits, even though they're not as good flavored.
Posted by: C. B. Knox at October 20, 2005 12:53 PMI can honestly say that I tried to get used to the NEW Cheese-Nips. I like the new packaging, but the flavor/texture is nothing like the old ones...!?
I am switching back to Chesse-Its
I always preferred the "old" Cheese Nips crackers over Sunshines Cheez-its, but NO MORE. The new Nips are too cheesy (ironically) and have a very unappealing texture. Why they chose to package them in a bag allowing for increased breakage is incomprehensible to me. The old box packaging was easier to store and take from place to place without crushing the contents. Besides not liking the taste, the new bag doesn't made sense economically as you're getting mostly crumbs. With the box, there were very few broken crackers. Another problem with the new bag packaging is that it's difficult to differentiate (by sight) between the new crackers and the new chips they've also introduced. I will never buy another package of the new Nips. We can only hope the new Nips will go the way of the New Coke from years ago. Until and unless they do, I'm a Cheez-its gal. Bring back the original Nips!

Posted by: nay0489 at January 30, 2006 8:40 PMi agree..........CHEESE ROCKS!!!
Posted by: Cheesy Boy at March 27, 2006 3:06 PMI wish they would make a bag or box of the orignal tid bits or call the what ever they want but the new stuff they have sucks. It never fails that when you have something that taste good they always change it or no longer make it. Maybe one day they will get it through there head when something is good leave it alone. P.S BRING THEM BACK WE ALL LOVE THEM!

Posted by: oscar at July 5, 2006 4:43 PMI love the cheese nip chips, but can no longer find them. Are they still being made or just not sold in my area? Help.
Posted by: Mary Jo at August 21, 2006 11:17 AMmy fellow co-workers and myself all love the nabisco cheese nips chips but we can no longer find them in our area. if anyone can give me information where to buy them let me know by email.
Posted by: tammy at November 7, 2006 12:25 PMDoes anyone remember those Cheese Nip Sticks that they used to sell?
They were like the ones they sell now only they were more poofy and the sides weren't wavy like they are now.
For some reason I remember their name starting with a "t", but I can't remember the rest of their name.
THE NEW CHEESE NIPS ARE SALT-LESS!!! YUCK! My kids even noticed and they'll eat anything! These new ones taste very very bland...put the salt back on them! Not everyone is dying from heart disease or high blood-pressure! We vote NO.
