McDonald’s Chicken Selects

selects.jpgBuying chicken strips at a fast-food restaurant is a risky move. Some restaurants have good ones (KFC), while others are barely edible (are you reading this, Mr. Jack in the Box?). McDonalds recently introduced their new chicken strips, which they call “Chicken Selects.” They are being marketed as a “premium breast strip,” which is a pretty accurate description of them. They are good, up there with those at KFC. The chicken is moist, the breading is crunchy, and the Low Fat Honey Mustard dipping sauce is delicious (they also offer Creamy Ranch and Spicy Buffalo dipping sauces). Give them a try – it’s really not that much of a risk.

I have to disagree on this one. The smell...omg...the smell...'bout made me sick before I could even put one in my mouth! The chicken itself was fine, but I just couldn't get past the smell.

Last ones I got were overcooked and rock hard. They are OK, decent sauces but not as good as Chick Fil A's strips, which are wonderful.

This was the best thing to come out in Mcdonald. I didn't know it was possible to fall in love with food. For those of you who had negative comments you don't know whats good, maybe your taste buds didn't agree with you that day. These are simply delicious, it would make vegetarians go back to eating meat.

I also must disagree. There was way WAY too much breading (which I also found in the KFC chicken strips, maybe we just have different breading to chicken ratio comfort limits, but I basically had no chicken to compensate for my big giant heap of breading.) and the taste wasn't anything special. I also love LOVE Jack in the Box chicken strips... Perhaps yours were not cooked properly? I find this rating very disturbing because thus far, while reading this site I have agreed with 90% of your ratings, the other 10% being food which I don't have a strong opinion for what-so-ever. Shmanks.

McDonald's Chicken Selects... if I could get them in a 20 pack, I could live off of them. : )

These are bloody garbage! Greasy, and made of rubbery/gummy pressed chicken not real breast meat - bleh! I only allow myself one cheat meal a week to endulge in any "naughty" food I choose. T'was late and all of the local marts were closed tonight so I hit the local Golden Arches for a 10 pack of these horrors; I got no sauce despite requesting a load of them and the miserable things were vile!

Don't do this to your body people!!! I'm still burping up those greasy pieces of chicken dung as I type this!! I wish I skipped this week's cheat meal now... I really do!!!

I will NEVER eat beef from McDonalds due to its poor quality and over the top greasiness. The new premium chicken lines that McDonalds has is fantastic at SOME locations. I have found that the consistency with these products is horrid. The location by my work does a fantastic job with their chicken, but the location by my house does not. I have eaten these chicken selects at about 5 different McDonald's locations and 3 of them were fantastic, one was ok, and the other tasted and smelled liked grease. I also find that the hotter they are the better...
