Some things canít be improved. Milk Chocolate (a.k.a. ďregularĒ) and Peanut M&Mís may be two of those things. I happen to think that Peanut M&Mís are slightly more delicious than the Milk Chocolate ones, but I love them both. Either way, they are about as close to candy perfection as you can get. Much like Pretzel M&Mís, Birthday Cake M&Mís donít even come close. First, they donít really have a ďcakeĒ flavor. Thereís some frosting flavor going on, but thatís about it. They certainly didnít remind me of birthday cake, only of eating Betty Crocker frosting with my finger out of one of those plastic tubs. Oh, come on. You know youíve done it too. The other thing wrong with Birthday Cake M&Mís is their size. They are a bit larger than regular M&Mís, with a bigger milk chocolate center. This throws off the ever-important ďmilk chocolate to candy coating ratio.Ē Buy a bag of Birthday Cake M&Mís if you must, just to give them a try. Iíll bet, however, that you probably wonít buy them again.
