Stax Pizza Flavor

stax.jpgAfter years of being unique, Pringles potato chips were joined by another shaped-potato-chip-in-a-canister product – Lay’s Stax. I picked up a can of Pizza Stax recently at my local supermarket. I am not impressed with them at all, but I have to admit that I am comparing them to Pringles (it’s hard not to…). The pizza flavor is generic and boring. The texture and crispiness are not nearly as good as Pringles’. I’ve tried other Stax flavors in the past, and didn’t really like them either. Overall, I’m glad that I bought them on sale for only $1.00. Paying any more for these chips would be foolish.

dnL

dnl.jpgThis soda, brought to us by the makers of 7UP, has been around for a few months now. I finally bought one to give it a try, and have to say that I love it. It has a refreshing, fruity flavor that is very good. Touted as “7UP turned upside down,” (hence the name “dnL,” if you haven’t already figured it out…) it is unlike 7UP in several ways – it is bright green rather than clear and it has caffeine. Most importantly, it tastes better than 7UP. Now, if they’d only come out with a diet variety…

Kettle Chips Honey Dijon

kettlechips.jpgI’ve had Kettle Chips before, and thought they were really good - definitely better than most other potato chips. Yesterday, I saw Kettle Chips on sale at my local supermarket and picked up a bag of the Honey Dijon variety (which I had never tried). The chips are thick and crunchy just like I prefer, but the flavor is not as good as I thought it would be. There is a strong honey flavor, but the Dijon mustard flavor is weak and overwhelmed with sweetness. I really wanted to love these chips, but I have to give them only a so-so rating instead.

Nestle Toll House Mint Brownie Sandwich

No-Image.jpgAs I’ve said many times before, you can find some of the best food in at your convenience store. I was checking out the freezer case at my local Kwik-E-Mart today and saw a new ice cream sandwich – the Nestle Toll House Mint Brownie Sandwich. Normally, I don’t go for mint-flavored snacks. I’m glad I bought this, however. It’s an ice cream sandwich make from mint ice cream sandwiched between two chocolate brownie-type cookies. Both the cookies and ice cream taste treat, and the combination of mint and chocolate really go well together. At 7 oz, it’s big enough to really make a good snack. If you have a chance to try one of these, I highly recommend it.
