Canned tamales always creeped me out, but I am seriously intrigued . . .
Posted by: Red Icculus at August 16, 2010 2:37 PMI don't think they even sell canned tamales here in Canada, never seen em. We get some authentic products from mexico like 'agave nectar' and stuff, meh. Anyway, I wanted to let you know I have discovered the greatest pizza of all-time is Maitre Pierre's flamm'kueche, I don't know if they have that where you are, but it is amazing. You gotta try it if you like thin crusts, this crust is like no other you gotta try it! It's imported from France and I think they're even hand-made, not sure on that though. love the site!

Great meal for ninety nine cents
Yes, call me cheapskate
That's how I assumed all tamales came as a kid. One of those covered in Hormel no bean chili was our "chili night" about once a month

Posted by: scott at August 21, 2010 6:53 PMI have been a fan of these tamales for years. Altho they don't taste like homemade, they are tasty.
I lay them in a baking dish(w/o the paper wrapper) and cover them with chili(favorite canned) and top with shredded cheese.
Yummmmmmy!!!!!!
No wonder this country is filled with obese people! Read the label. Have some thought as to what you put in your mouth. Way too much sodium, fat & carbs for anybody who care to live a few more years.

710 sodium is not a big deal
