Jack in the Box Really Big Chicken Sandwich

reallybigchicken.jpgWhat’s better than a crispy chicken sandwich? A double crispy chicken sandwich, of course! I’ve eaten hamburgers with two, three, and four patties, but I don’t recall ever seeing a double chicken sandwich before (not counting the bastard KFC Double Down Sandwich). Someone at Jack in the Box must have been thinking the same thing because new on their menu is the Really Big Chicken Sandwich. And by “really big,” they mean that it’s made with two crispy chicken patties. Yes, the sandwich is pretty big, but it’s not so big that most people wouldn’t be able to eat it. The sandwich wouldn’t work if the crispy chicken patties weren’t really good, but that’s not a problem here. The patties on my sandwich were crispy on the outside, moist on the inside, and had a good flavor. Add to that some bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and “mayo onion sauce,” and you’ve got a very tasty sandwich that will satisfy a big appetite. Even if you don’t love chicken sandwiches, I encourage you to give this one a try. Jack in the Box has a winner on their hands with the Really Big Chicken Sandwich and it easily deserves the highest Phoood rating.

Phoood rating: Outstanding!

As a HUGE (literally) Phoood phan myself... I had to put my 2 cents in here. I haven't yet had the chance to try the Mona Lisa yet, but by this phood review, it seems I'm missing out big time and by big time I mean CC Sabathia style... Just try to imagine a world where John Rocker wasn't the greatest of all time... I know, scary though, that's a world I wouldn't wanna live in either, well, that's the same way I feel about not having tried his sandwich yet. I could go on to write a small book, but I feel the need to go out and get one of these beauty's now and close out my hunger Health Bell style.

Even better with Secret Sauce.
Then again, all of the sandwiches at Jack In The Box are better with Secret Sauce. I want the classic menu back (circa 1978).

While the price is decent for this sandwich, it definitely doesn't deserve Phood's highest rating. They use the same 99c chicken sandwich patty, which contradict how they're advertised, considering they don't even measure up to the size of the buns as pictured.

Tried the REALLY BIG CHICKEN sandwich....it's alright, but nothing to write home about....far as I'm concerned, CARL'S JR. has the best tasting fast food out there (burgers or chicken) due to the char broiling, fresh ingredients and decent size sandwiches...THEY know how to make a REALLY GOOD chicken sandwich, best in the fast food business! (grilled chicken is superior to the breaded at ANY fast food joint.)

I just had a Really Big Chicken Sandwich at Jack in the Box, and it was ok. It definitely wasn't amazing, as the patties are just basic crispy chicken patties, nothing special, and in actuality it's not "really big," but nonetheless it tasted pretty good. Sauce and bacon were good, and the lettuce was actually very fresh and nice on mine. It's a good deal for the amount of food (and calories) you get, being just 4 bucks for the sandwich, fries, and a drink, but don't expect anything out of the ordinary. I probably won't buy it again now that I've tried it.

The best thing about this was the deal it's part of: *curly* fries (yes, curly, they didn't scrimp and throw in a kid's bag of regular) and a drink for $3.99!!! The sandwich itself? As someone else said, it's their basic breaded chicken patty. Having two gets a an extra point, but mine was LOADED with lettuce to make it appear thicker than it was.

I see some mixed opinions about this sandwich and I'm assuming the quality of the jack in the box's are different state to state. Down here in southern cali, the really big chicken sandwiches are tasty, cheap, and the best part i love about it is that they come with curly fries! all for just 3.99? hard to beat
