Bugles Sweet & Salty Caramel

buglescaramel.jpgTraditional Bugles have been a favorite of mine as long as I can remember. As a kid, I used to put them on my fingertips for "claws" and then chew them off one-by-one. (OK, sometimes I still do that...) Today, my wife brought me home a surprise from her shopping trip: Caramel Bugles! That's right, caramel! I was a bit leery at first, but they smelled so good I just had to try one. I was very glad I did! Caramel Bugles are deliciously sweet and salty, with a just-right balance of caramel and corn flavor. They have the same crunch as the original, and the same light texture that Bugles fans love. Kind of like eating caramel corn without getting hulls stuck in your teeth. There seems to be a trend of sweet and salty snacks, right now, and as far as I'm concerned, Caramel Bugles can take their place at the top of the heap!

Phoood rating: Outstanding!

Sounds good! It kind of reminds me of the glazed party mixes people make with worcestershire sauce and sugar nowadays.

I found one bag of Caramel Bugles at a small conveniece store and fell in love with them.....the perfect mix of sweet and salty. I was having company so I went back for more. They only had one very small bag left and I had to search hard to find it. I passed the bag around to my guest and they were all like, "where did you get these". They were in love also. Well, no one can find them! Who is selling them,is what I'd like to know. Someone is keeping them all to themselves!

I wrote General Mills to ask where I could buy Bugles Caramel by the truck load....they are sold in the oddest of places but I did find them at several 7-11 stores. Found on the east coast.

I think they are playing with our emotions! You taste them and get hooked!!! Then the hunt begins!!!

Anytime I take them on a cruise with all the food on that ship and my friend tears into a bag after a huge lunch....c'mon now!

Oh the sweet deliciousness of it all. These things are heaven in a bag. When I first tried them I was like "oh what sweet decadence has graced my oral cavity!" It was that serious! Going to get some now!

I absolutely love caramel bugles, they are so hard to find. I found them at a store called 99 cent store in Lodi California. I stocked up on them, recently I found one small bag that I thought had been eaten and omg I waited til the kids went to bed becuase one small bag isn't enough for three people. When I get the chance to go back to that store I will hopefully be able to find them again and stock up some more of those delicious snacks.

I was travelling on business recently and found them at a gas station. I have always loved bugles but these were the best thing I have ever tasted with all that caramelly goodness! I have been looking in every store I have been in since I tried them 2 weeks ago.

Man! I first tried these a couple months ago - from a 7-11 in Danbury, CT.

I went back a week later and bought all five bags (so called snack size) and have stopped by several times since.

I stopped Thursday at 10:00 pm after choir practice and BOUGHT ALL SEVEN BAGS they had. Even asked the fellow behind the counter if he had any more "in back..."

I have tried all the grocery stores to no avail. I did find a case on line as another poster mentioned but I might have just a teensie problem justifying that purchase to the rest of the household...

I fell in love with the caramel bugles. I too would love to see them in larger bags and in grocery stores, when can that happen. I have let other people try them and they would like to know where I bought mine so they could get there own. Thanks for the great taste!
