Here we go again – another Doritos flavor. It seems like they come out with a new flavor every other day, but I’ve found that many of them taste very similar. Not so with new Doritos Spicy Sweet Chili, which I saw for the first time in a local Long’s Drug Store. They have a unique flavor that isn’t like any other Doritos chips that I’ve eaten. The spiciness isn’t too hot, but does have a bit of a bite. Underneath the heat is a slight sweetness. The two flavors go very well together and create a final flavor that is both interesting and enjoyable. These chips definitely deserve Phoood’s highest rating.

Posted by Jim on March 19, 2008These things are so freakin good i buy them almost everynight with a little thing of nacho cheese dip. Luckily i am skinny as a rail so i can get away with this, even though i may have heart troubles later in life, mmmmmmmm is all i can say!
Posted by: Antonio DeLaVerga-Grandota at May 10, 2008 4:19 AMDang, I have been hearing all kinds of great things about these chips! My best friend just sent me a text that he had tried them for the first time. He said they are awesome!. I am in Anaheim, California and I have yetto see them at several stores that I have looked for them. Are they in the SoCal region yet or just being test marketed in certain places?
Posted by: Dana Holmes at May 21, 2008 9:34 AMI find these chips have a fake sugar taste. I prefer the Jalepeno or the spicy nacho flavour myself.
Posted by: Steven at May 24, 2008 5:13 PMWell, I finally found these chips in Anaheim at a Ralph's Market. I also found another beloved chip called Tim's Cascade in their jalapeno flavor!! I think the Spicy Sweet Chili are very good although I agree on the 'fake sugar taste' from Steven above. But back to Tim's Cascade chips!! These are a Pacific Northwest Chip and they rock!! Highly Recommended to anybody that has never had them. Kudos to Ralph's in Orange County for carrying some great snacks!

COLBERT IS GOD
Posted by: anthony at December 15, 2008 8:23 PMThese are so disgusting!!! I tried them for lunch and they taste like soy sauce. I was so disappointed with these chips. Then I checked the label-- lo and behold, soy sauce is listed as one of the ingredients. Seriously. Soy sauce??? Come on now... One of the weirdest concepts ever.
Posted by: Caia at March 19, 2009 1:06 PMNice to see Doritos bringing some of their products developed for other markets into the U.S. This flavor was all over the place when I was traveling in South Africa and Namibia.

Posted by: Brandon at May 11, 2009 5:38 PM@ Caia, it was "soy protein", man! Not soy sauce.
I don't know what to think of these chips outside of two things: I cannot stop eating them and they interested me enough to google them and get here.
Posted by: alina at May 20, 2009 8:25 PMMy name is (beeeeep) and I'm an addict... This flavor is the best!!!... Hands down yummy!.. I'm waiting for my tastebuds to start hating it after about 6 bags in a month.. but to no avail I still crave it!!.. I wish they came in those family size bags, heck sack of potato bags!!!... LOVES IT!
Posted by: Doritos Addict at December 3, 2009 10:39 AMNeed to find an interesting dip to go along with these Spicy Sweet Chili chips. Anyone have a good idea??
Posted by: Chris at February 5, 2010 2:28 PMalina - Actually there IS soy sauce listed, as well as soy protien and soybean oil. I thought these tasted a bit like soy sauce also, they weren't bad but I don't think I'm going to buy them again.
Posted by: Netter at May 10, 2010 8:10 PMBaboons go bonkers for this flavour chip in cape town.
So does my brother.
Omg, these are GROSS. D: I got to this site because they were so gross I had to google them to see is there was anyone who actually liked them. YUCK.
Posted by: Ashley at December 16, 2010 2:51 PMI love these chips. I could have sworn that they came out with them back in late 2006 cause I remember buying them, but they were in a pinkish color bag. Then i didn't see them until 2008. But the X-13D tastes very similar to these. Anyways these chip are the BEST!!!!
