Phoood Hall of Fame: Doritos Nacho Cheese Tortilla Chips

doritos-nc.jpgThere are a lot of different brands and flavors of tortilla chips, and the number just keeps increasing. Many of them are quite good, but none are as tasty as Doritos Nacho Cheese. There’s really not much that needs to be said about their flavor (I’m sure you are all familiar with it) except that it sets the standard by which all other flavored tortilla chips are measured. Occasionally, I’ll have another favorite flavor for a period of time. But sooner or later, I always come to the realization that Fiery Taco, Smokin’ Cool Salsa, or Blazin’ BBQ Nacho flavors, although they may be delicious, can never take the place of my faithful favorite, Doritos Nacho Cheese.

I used to beg Mom to buy Doritos when we were kids, but since they aren't "health food", I was always denied. I think that is whey I love them so much now!

Hm, nacho is good, but I've always been a Cool Ranch girl myself. :D

i really LOVE the Salsa flavored Doritos. I can't find them anywhere i go! We went to Hawaii a few months ago and found some there!!! we could only fit 3 bags in our suitcases and ate the other 2 bags before we left. they are the best and are never around anymore :(

When I was living in Italy after college and my parents came over to visit me, what did I ask them to bring me? Winter clothes? Letters from loved ones? Money? (Well, yeah, money, but...)

NO!! A suitcase full of Nacho Cheese Doritos!! Eight bags they fit into their carry-on, carefully hand-carried from Chicago to Rome! It was awesome!

They are still my favorite, though I must admit to a fondness for the Salsa Verde when it can be found.

I agree these deserve to be in the hall of fame but how can you not put cool ranch in the hall of fame as well????
