Tostitos Flour Tortilla Chips

tostitos-flour.jpgI’ve eaten flour tortilla chips at local Mexican restaurants for years and always wondered why I couldn’t by them in the store. Well, now I can. Tostitos Flour Tortilla Chips are not as good as the flour tortilla chips I’ve had in restaurants, however. Compared to the restaurant chips, the Tostitos chips are heavier, darker (overcooked?), and have little flour tortilla flavor. They remind me of Cinnamon Crispas that used to be available at Taco Bell, without the cinnamon and sugar. Maybe another chip brand will get it right, but I don’t think I’ll be buying another bag of Tostitos Flour Tortilla Chips anytime soon.

Phoood rating: So-so

I think they taste great with guacamole. I enjoy them!
