Here’s another product that goes in the “What’s the Point?” category. Pepsi Holiday Spice, a limited-edition soda that will only be available during the holiday season. It is regular Pepsi infused with cinnamon and ginger flavors. It tastes more like nutmeg and cloves to me, but what do I know? The soda definitely has a different and unique flavor, and kind of conveys that “holiday” feeling. It is quite drinkable, but the novelty doesn’t go very far. The spices are pretty mild, and after drinking most of the 20-ounce bottle, the spice flavor was much less noticeable. A stronger spice flavor would really get people’s attention and make the soda something to talk about. Instead, it will probably be quickly forgotten.
Phoood rating:
After trying it for the first time, my friends and I think that it tastes VERY familiar...not just like coke or pepsi or Dr. Pepper, but like there was a product that tasted ALMOST exactly the same (different color maybe?). It is only a vague memory, though. Any ideas?

Posted by: Glenn at December 1, 2004 9:31 AMIt is ok, It does taste very familiar, but I don't know why. It isn't the best thing I have ever tasted thats for sure.
Posted by: Shawna at January 31, 2005 7:08 AMIt was definitely a good promotional thing for Pepsi- I know I went out of my way to try it. But as far as the actual taste goes... ihhhh.
Posted by: Kirsten at July 12, 2005 10:16 PMI don't know for sure, but I'd guess it would serve as a good rum mixer for those too cheap to buy a decent spiced rum.
Posted by: SIr Osiss at September 23, 2005 3:21 PMI just want to know if this is coming out again in late 05. My wife and I love this stuff and we cleaned out 3 of the local grocery stores after the run ended last year. Our supply ran out in early August! Won't make that mistake this year.

Posted by: RolandGS at September 28, 2005 6:00 AMIm with Roland, Holiday Spice certainly made my Festivus a time to remember. Normally i dread the holidays, but last year, with the help of Pepsi Holiday Spice, i endured it all. Holiday spice is a comforting beverage during such a draconean time of year. I pray this year will be no different and holiday spice again will hit the shelf. If christmas were a beverage, it would certainly be named holiday spice. A touch of ginger with hint of cinnamon, truely encapsulates the essence of the season. By far and large, this small contribution of festive flavor has enormously impacted my holiday season. Posted by: andy at November 4, 2005 9:06 PMPepsi Holiday Spice was a unique experience for me. I drank about half a liter or so, and then I got this wierd sensation inside my stomach. It started burning, and all of a sudden.... *FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAART!* I pooped myself. The spices must have not agreed with my stomach, along with the carbonated properties of the Pepsi. I was so embarassed, because I was at work at the time, and everyone saw my doo-doo water running out of my pants leg. Besides that, I actually liked the taste. If only it were easier on the stomach. If it comes out again in '05, I'll buy some without doubt. But I'll also include a box of Imodium in the bag with it.

they must not be making it this year...bummer.
Ya know, i Have some advice for pepsi, DONT LEAVE US HANGING HERE!!! at least give us the recipe how to make it, if they arent gonna. Pisses me off. what kind of sadistic company does a thing like this...oh, heres some spice pepsi...(year later) psych!! why does our society discontinue that which was once great?
from the delorian, to the benny hill show, to 80s style womens jordach jeans and now pepsi spice... personally, i would be willing to pay upwards of 5.00 per 12 oz can of that stuff.
I loved Holiday Spice from Pepsi last year, and i wish they would continue this year. I am still keeping my fingers crossed. Other people seemed to like it, including me. the taste of it made my holiday a one to remember last year. I would like to have that sensational joy this year, as well. If Pepsi doesn't have this product out this year, i will be angry and kill a few bugs as well in rage. REVOLT!!!! Get your pitch forks and torches ready! I meant bug spray.
Holiday Spice was yummy in my tummy! BURP!excuse me. sorry. I will try not to do that agian.
PLEASE! I gotta have, more more more!
Holiday Spice was a good idea, and should continue. I heard the sales were not that great, but there is a majority number of people who like the flavor, such as me. For me being an Italian and having good taste for food and beverages, continue Pepsi Holiday Spice.

i really liked it actually i wish they would still make it and year round because i only drink that kind of pepsi product
Is there a chance that you will ever put this product out again? It has been on my sons Christmas list every year since we have tried it, and every year I log on here in hopes that I will find a store carrying it. I hope that Pepsi will put it on the market again soon. It has a very good taste, and obviously there are people out there waiting to buy it. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
