Jack In The Box Natural Cut Fries

naturalcut.jpgI’ve been seeing the Jack In The Box commercials for their new Natural Cut Fries. I tried them for the first time today and am sorry to say that they look better on TV than they taste in real life. The fries are cut thicker than normal, and keep the potato skin intact. The skin does give them a nice flavor that is lacking in other fast-food fries. They were, however, a bit on the mushy side. I think they would be much better if they were cooked to be a bit crispier. And, like most fries, they did not have nearly enough salt on them. Overall, I was left disappointed. The Natural Cut Fries offer a welcome alternative to regular fries, but that's about all.

Phoood rating: So-so

I tried these - YEECH - they didnt taste like fresh cut potato fries at all. Really nasty cardboard taste that prevails throughout. You have to really salt them and use plenty of ketchup to cover. A real disapointment. Next time I'll order Curly fries.

Actually, these fries are better than most fast food products in my opinion. But I do not like too crispy fries and like it when the interior of the fry is cooked but not hard.

Same reaction. Potato-y, heavy flavor, and no texture. Why, oh why did they discontinue those crispy french fries with the little bumps on them?? One of the main reasons I've cut back on my Jack consumption (plus $4 bucks for a "big" burger).

just one more reason that jack in the box is searching for something that is just not there.
the place is ran by a pack of women. who really don't know, well, JACK about what men want. everything they do is survey survey survey.
which tells me that conviction is lacking in the menu. I grew up on jack in the box. now, these days all that I can enjoy is onion rings. everything else is the out come of surveys.
what a bland recipe. albeit, a cheap one.
their fries are just one more testimony. the public enjoys cheap quality. sad.
