Doritos Rollitos - Taco and Nacho Cheesier Varieties

doritos Rollitos
I think that civilization would have survived just fine without Doritos’ new Rollitos, described on the bag as “bite-size tortilla snacks,” but I guess someone high up at Frito-Lay thinks that snackers like me are tired of eating those old-fashioned, triangle shaped Doritos chips. So, they took a chip, rolled it up, and made it “easier to eat” (according to the Doritos Web site). I never found that tortilla chips were difficult to eat, but maybe that’s just me. I tried two varieties of Rollitos, Taco and Nacho Cheesier, and was disappointed with both. The Taco variety had an odd texture that didn’t remind me of a tortilla chip. They also had a terrible aftertaste that made it impossible for me to finish the entire bag (which is almost unheard of…). The Nacho Cheesier variety had a better flavor, but I didn’t care for the texture either. Overall, I’m in no hurry to eat Rollitos again. My snack food money will be spent on other, more tasty snacks.

What?! You couldn't finish an entire bad?!

I think Doritos may be over-segmenting the market on this one.
